Academic storytelling rooted in grandeur.

Library interviews, staged research scenes, rare book photography and faculty portraits created a cohesive scholarly visual language.

The Client

The Alexandrian Institute is an online theological education institution, offering rigorous study rooted in the Christian tradition. Their visual identity draws on the heritage and authority of theological education, using historical imagery, serif typography and restrained colour to create a sense of academic grandeur.

The Challenge

Our brief was to give that identity a tangible sense of place. We needed to reflect the depth of the education through a photographic library, alongside explainer and testimonial films that would help students engage with the institute and their studies.

The Solution

We rooted the photography in Queen’s University Belfast, using its architecture, library and historic texts to give the brand a sense of place. Rembrandt-inspired lighting added depth and atmosphere, while our films balanced the academic identity with a more contemporary approach, creating distinct visual treatments for testimonials and educational content.
