The Dead Rabbit’s Tours of Ireland is an immersive journey through modern Irish culture.
Breifed by The Dead Rabbit to document the Tours of Ireland through photography and film, capturing the experience across a carefully curated itinerary of Irish hospitality, culture and craftsmanship. Working alongside The Dead Rabbit and Crown Creative, we created a visual library that explored Ireland through the people behind it, from chefs and restaurateurs to whiskey makers, distillers, brewers, musicians, artists and craftspeople.
The Client
The Dead Rabbit is a celebrated Irish bar in New York, known for its layered storytelling and contemporary expression of Irish culture. Its world extends beyond drinks into food, design, hospitality and the work of Irish makers, creating a rich connection between Ireland and its New York audience. Through its projects and partnerships, the bar offers a thoughtful taste of the people, places and culture that continue to shape Ireland today.
The Challenge
The tour brought together a range of food, drink and hospitality partners, each with its own setting, pace and story. The challenge was to give every stop its own character while maintaining a consistent visual language across the wider journey. The work also needed to capture the tour group’s experience and the natural moments unfolding around them without becoming a series of disconnected venue profiles.
The Solution
We travelled with the group, documenting each stop through its people, details, service and shared moments. A consistent approach to composition, movement, colour and pacing held the journey together while allowing every partner’s personality to remain visible. We created films for individual stops, short social edits and a bank of imagery, giving The Dead Rabbit a flexible body of content covering both the partners and the wider tour experience.
Across Dublin, Belfast and locations throughout Ireland, the work brought together hospitality, Irish whiskey, food, music, art and craft to create a contemporary portrait of the country. The result was a suite of photography and film that captured not simply a tour of Ireland, but the people and experiences that make it distinctive.
