The Culloden
A styled shoot designed to appeal to a younger audience while retaining five-star elegance.
Motivated daylight and soft shaping highlighted architectural detail and luxurious textures.
The Client
The Culloden Estate & Spa is a five-star hotel set within twelve acres overlooking Belfast Lough. Originally built as a bishop’s palace, the estate combines Scottish Baronial architecture and historic interiors with contemporary hospitality, dining and wellness. Its character comes from the scale and heritage of the building as much as the experience within it, offering a distinctly Northern Irish expression of luxury shaped by place, history and service.
The Challenge
The challenge was to create a polished editorial image library within a working five-star hotel. Each space brought different daylight, colour temperatures and existing light, while guests and service continued around the production. Working to CO5’s creative brief, every setup needed to feel deliberately composed and visually elevated, with a consistent sense of luxury across a variety of interiors.
The Solution
Working closely with CO5, we developed a series of carefully posed editorial scenarios across the hotel. Lighting was shaped for each room, balancing ambient sources with controlled light to create a consistent finish while retaining the character of each interior. Through precise framing, considered direction and a schedule adapted around hotel operations, we produced a refined image library for the Culloden’s wider marketing.
